Kate Pierce, MD

Dr. Kate grew up in Laurens, South Carolina, but has long since lost her southern accent. She attended Florida State University, then migrated to the Pacific Northwest for medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University. Coming to Colorado for residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Family Medicine allowed her to continue to enjoy the many outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. She has been practicing medicine in the Grand Valley since July 2000. She continues to enjoy all aspects of family practice – although no longer performing obstetrics, she loves seeing all ages – being just as interested in helping with well child care as she is with helping with the difficulties of menopause and aging. As a continuation of this, she is open to helping patients explore Medical Aid in Dying if desired.

Lastly, she is also exploring other areas of medicine that are not as bound by insurance restrictions. She is getting certified in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, prescribes compounded semaglutide for weight loss, and can treat spider veins with sclerotherapy.
